Shazly is one of the very few people on the NZ Association of Registered Hairdressers Inc. Official Judges List. She represented New Zealand at the Australasian Oceanic Masters Awards in Australia in August 2009.

Over the years Shazly has been involved in training staff, doing creative work, and competing at various hairdressing competitions. She has won more than 50 places over the years at various hair and fashion awards.

Shazly started her hairdressing career in 1996 in Hamilton. She was trained at Patrick's Hairdressing School, one of the best hairdressing academies in New Zealand.
