I love the Hutt as a city to raise a family, start a business and enjoy the great outdoors. But I also know we can do better.

We must rejuvenate our central city. It’s been a priority for years and I am standing for Council to turn talk into action.

As a business owner, I am already working with other local owners to revitalise our CBD by promoting and attracting more businesses and events. Lower Hutt needs more affordable apartments, more cafes and bars with outdoor seating, and more family-friendly events. We should make the most of our beautiful river. We must make families want to come into the heart of our great city.

I support the Riverlink project and the building of a new Melling interchange. This project will deliver better flood protection to homes in the valley as well as improve access to public transport. It is vital for our city and without it our homes and businesses are at risk of a significant flood event.

I want Lower Hutt to continue to be a vibrant, safe and diverse city recognised as the best place for families to bring up their children and  where businesses thrive and create job opportunities for our residents. I will work with central government to ensure our most vulnerable families have access to safe, warm, and dry housing.

I’m 100% committed to  re-opening Naenae pool. The pool is a necessity for Naenae to prosper.

I believe in a strong local economy, competent Council management and a constructive relationship with the community. Sensible financial management and making practical decisions around debt to take the city forward without high rate rises.

As a Hutt business owner  with clients from across our city, I’ve already heard so much about the issues you care about and the kind of city in which you want to live.

Lower Hutt is Wellington’s best kept secret. I promise to make sure your issues and concerns are addressed around the Council table.

I will work hard for you. For your business. For your family.

I’m your lady.
